Kishii Yukino Joins TIFF Teens Cine Club — Shares Her Thoughts on the Upcoming Program

TIFF Teens Cine Club
This year, TIFF will once again hold TIFF Teens Cine Club, a program offering young people the opportunity to experience cinema more deeply through both making and watching films. For its second edition, Japanese actor Kishii Yukino will join the Cine Club, watching a film from the festival’s Youth section with high school students who previously participated in TIFF Teens Meet Cinema and engaging in a free-flowing exchange of ideas.

Following TIFF 2026: Teens Meet Cinema – 10th Anniversary, TIFF Teens Cine Club 2026 Presentation will also be held to reflect on the club’s activities.

Comment from Kishii Yukino
I’m delighted to have this opportunity to take part in TIFF Teens.

There are many ways to experience a film, and I believe that what we each take away from it is just as meaningful as the filmmaker’s intention. I also find it wonderful that a film can inspire new interpretations beyond what its creator originally intended.

Rather than searching for the “right” answers, I hope our time together will be an opportunity to explore our individual responses and perspectives.

Kishii Yukino Profile
Kishii Yukino made her acting debut in 2009 and had her first starring role in Goodbye, Grandpa! in 2017. Her other notable film credits include Just Only Love, One Day, You Will Reach the Sea, Small, Slow but Steady, Sato and Sato, and Sinsin and the Mouse, as well as the NHK drama series “The Farewell Hospital”. Her latest film, All the Lovers in the Night, opens November 13, and her new series “Eugenia” will begin streaming on Wowow on November 8.
